First Presbyterian Church of Bandon, Oregon

“They will be My people, and I will be their God.” Jeremiah 24:7

Meet our Pastor

Welcome!  My name is Bobbi Neason, and I am glad you have found our website.  I have been blessed to serve as the pastor of First Presbyterian, Bandon since March 2007.  This is a wonderfully warm, caring, and committed group of Christian friends, and we look forward to making your acquaintance.

My husband George and I are both originally Pennsylvanians, though we have lived in NC and GA as well.  We have three adult children: Andrew and wife Catelyn live in Fairbanks, AK; Micah in south GA near my former pastorate; and Jenna in Charlotte, NC.  We LOVE living on the south Oregon coast, and have hopes that all our children will find their way west in the future!

George and I joined the Presbyterian Church together shortly after our marriage, though between us, we have personal experience of at least ten different Christian denominations.  I am a second-career pastor, having been a geriatric social worker for nearly twenty years before attending seminary and becoming ordained.

While I do my best to apply careful intellect to all that I do, for me the beginning and end of Christian faith (and most everything that is important in between) is GRACE.  As my seminary advisor was wont to say, Christian belief can be summed up in six words: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.  Praise God!
